European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

“The use of a reliable, J2EE industry standard platform, together with the advantages associated with open source solutions, are important issues today within the I.T. departments. Open Source middleware is selectively used at EBRD as part of its I.T. infrastructure.”

-EBRD I.T. Director.

Company Overview: The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was established in 1991 when communism was crumbling in central and eastern Europe and ex-soviet countries needed support to nurture a new private sector in a democratic environment.
