Join the Federation

The JBoss Open Source Federation is a community of individuals and companies and sponsors founded and operated by JBoss, Inc. to bring together open source projects that share the common business model of Professional Open Source as well as integrate with the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS).

Here are the important details on joining the Federation:

Cost JBoss Open Source Federation is free to join.
Program Goals
  • Provide enterprises using JEMS products a wide variety of open source products that integrate with their JEMS-based infrastructures
  • Provide increased visibility for Federation Members, their open source products, and available support options
  • Stimulate the growth of a Professional Open Source JBoss marketplace
Requirements In order to achieve JOSF membership, applicants must provide:
  • Open source product based on an OSI license
  • Professional support for their product(s)
  • Product(s) that integrated with the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS)
Exclusivity The JBoss Open Source Federation is a non-exclusive program. Projects can be co-located with other Open Source communities.
Value-Added Services JBoss Inc. will roll out a series of value-added services to JOSF members over the next year. These services will help JOSF members to integrate their products with JEMS, improve the coverage of their support services, and more effectively gain visibility to the expansive JBoss/JEMS community.
